Field Notes

Description:

This Snail Parasite Blowfly has a bright orange yellow head with brownish eyes. The body is metallic green and blue with white spots. This fly can be distinguished from other Amenia species by its large bright yellow head and less white dots on body.

Habitat:

Found in Woodland, forest, gardens. Often seen feeding on flowers of native plants.

Notes:

I have re-done this spotting as i managed to take better photos, however iam still unsure on it's exact ID
