Description:

The pied-billed grebe is a small water bird. Likes to dive for food and can surface far from where it went under. Brown with a black ring around an ivory bill. Puffy white patch under tail.

Habitat:

Marsh at Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge, Anahuac, Texas
