Species ID Suggestions

Comments (1)

Bear in mind that it is estimated that 50% of the worlds moths might be undocumented as yet and that number may well be a lot higher in places like Indonesia but any spottings you post here will be doing their bit for improving our knowledge of what is out there and where it might be found for future investigation. Even many of those I see and photograph here remain unidentified and about 600 new species have been documented here in recent years. One of our "experts" lives in Borneo but is currently studying in university so has little time to spend on identification at present. I believe he is currently out of touch in the Maliau basin! Just keep the photos coming, and please add them to our appropriate moth missions which will help to give the more exposure to the right people. Moths of the World would be a good starting point http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/8841449
