Long-legged terrestrial birds, from 70 to 90 cm tall. They live in terrains with open space like savanas, cerrados, etc. Mainly Brasil, Argentina, Paraguay, Bolívia, Uruguay.

Habitat:

Grasslands, cerrados, open forests in South América ( Argentina, Bolívia, Brasil, Paraguay, Uruguay)
