Field Notes

Description:

Distinctly shaped insect with a long body and abdominal forceps. Immature stages have thinner forceps and are somewhat smaller. Occasionally, white ones can be found. These are ones that have recently molted.

Habitat:

Suburban backyard in dark areas (inside of shed door and wooden fence gate.

Notes:

Introduced species that has established itself well. Found in great numbers in our yard.
