Field Notes

Description:

Copper sulphate blue with a touch of smeared mascara.

Habitat:

Sitting on top of a tree at the far range of my camera. Beyond the resort boundary at village Borong in Sikkim. Lower Himalayas. Snow peaks in the distance.
This bird did not sit still for very long and almost sensed it when we pointed our cameras. It kept diving into the leafy canopy or else chose to sit semi-hidden...very frustrating.

Notes:

Very musical song.
