Field Notes

Description:

I am not sure if this is a Southern Black Racer or an Indigo snake. The picture shows maybe 2-2.5 ft. of this snake, so the snake may be as long as 3-4 ft. long.

Habitat:

Marsh/estuary environment of coastal Georgia, found on the Little Ogeechee River, Savannah, GA.

Species ID Suggestions

Comments (1)

It's a racer. In the future, please mark a spotting as unknown if you are not sure what it is rather than naming it two very different species at the same time. Thanks
