Description:
Sister butterflies are brush-footed butterflies in the genus Adelpha. They are found in the southern U.S. to South America and have white marking's on their wings resembling a nun's habit, giving them their name 'sisters'.
Habitat:
Mexico south to Panama. Lowland tropical forests with a dry season. Host Plants: Madder family (Rubiaceae) including Alibertia, Faramea, and Ixora.
