Field Notes

Description:

Saw this bird in grasses/reeds at the edge of the marshes but it kept moving then reappearing so not even sure it is always the same bird so posted as spottings in 3 sets of 6 pictures but each spotting is the same bird/location in all 6 pictures. At first I thought Pipit, then perhaps Warbler.

Birdforum suggest Garden Warbler which certainly matches the wingtip feathers.

Habitat:

Bushes/trees at edge of Coastal marshes

Two things Joshua, firstly the text refers to 3 spottings: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/1895786002 http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/1898466002 These are the other two, the first of which looks like a pipit from some angles. Secondly, why is the habitat weird for a Pipit, that is exactly the habitat where many of them are found! Perhaps you should read European books on birds and their habitats, or look at the European web sites. It is precisely these habitats which attract the thousands of migrant and winter visitors as well as the breeding residents.
Looks like an Old World warbler. Habitat is wierd for a pipit. I have no experience identifying European warblers, so this is as far as I can get!
