American Bullfrog

Yea, they have been released in a lot of countries. They are the main frog used for making frog legs, so many countries wanted wild populations to be able to go get some and fry up their legs. They're native to the southeastern US, but every place they have been released in they are such good predators that populations of the native species start declining. I love them, but I love them when they are in the southeast US, not everywhere else in the world :/

If you know anyone studying amphibians in this area, you may want to let them know about this. They are invasive and have been been documented in Malaysia before, just not with much regularity. Hopefully the population of them doesn't explode because they out-compete most of the natives :/
