Description:

Smallish, maybe one inch long wasp. Very fast moving, flying short distances close to the ground, landing an scuttling for a bit, then flying again - very active. Orange body and legs, vivid metallic blue wings.

Habitat:

Sandy pathway adjacent to animal enclosures in a woodland setting. Worn, shaded ground
