Description:
A spring-blooming member of the mint family, Lamiaceae. The flowers appear in whorls. The leaves are basal, deeply lobed, and vaguely lyre-shaped. The plants can occur singly, in a small cluster (as was the case here) or can cover a large area of a roadside or open field.
