Description:
A katydid that seems to have had all parts stretched out to the thinnest possible structures--legs, antennae, and wings. Legs extremely long and slender--hind femora twice as long as abodmen. Forewing typically more than 8 times as long as wide. (information from BugGuide)

Notes:
Katydids are often seen at night in the summertime. They are on the roads at night, eating the remains of insects (mostly grasshoppers) that were run over by cars during the day.
