Description:

Tiny, disproportionately long-tailed, active, and vocal. Its overall brown-grey plumage is far less striking than its long, ragged tail. Hops in undergrowth and sparse vegetation. Resident throughout its range. Very vocal, especially in spring. Males often sing from obvious perches.
