Field Notes

Description:

Lavender/pinkish inflorescence bunched at the top of long green stems w/ primary leaves clustered near the soil.

Habitat:

The numerous Chaffheads along w/ other species of Carphephorus and Liatris spp.were in a sandy soil of primarily a pine flatwoods w/ Oaks that have invaded and grown along.

Notes:

The were three species of Carphephorus in the area.
