Black-bellied Whistling Duck

They have long legs that allow them to not have to waddle. It also helps them perch, as they can actually nest in trees. I flipped when I saw their cute pink beak! (Makes them look like they are wearing lipstick.) And, unlike the other ducks I am used to, these guys make a kind of a whistle, hence they are called Black-bellied Whistling Duck. They have become more common in our area in the last two years for some reason.
