Field Notes

Description:

A slim moth with pale wings and brown markings. Wing span would be about 20 mm. Its back legs were covered with short stiff hairs and they were stuck up in the air, giving the moth an unusual appearance when at rest.

Habitat:

Spotted under bright lights in a suburban garden.

Notes:

Larvae of these moths feed on scale insects on Gum trees, Fig and Wattle. <br>
