Thank you Malcolm Wilton-Jones...I found two more from the same day and a couple of shots on another day....since the place I found this is far away from where I stay I doubt I can catch a specimen and actually measure it...maybe if I ever go there again....Many Thanks, M W-J. It is very kind of you to take so much trouble.
Hi Sukanya, I recently received some information on this type of bug from another user, see here http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/1887396003 for his comments and username. No so simple as Green Shield Bugs any more as only one species uses that Common Name. I think yours may be one of the Green Stink Bugs as I enlarged your picture to its original size and can see some white dots http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/I9U8R28Gertph5KHfJ20TWoHNBbHhu5Y3Ht1qQgWxoAqmjFJwoIRaeF8nj8g2FmEjR7iUoM9uIdU-re4x_IEOA=s6000
You may need to measure the lengths quite precisely, both male and female and try to find a listing of all those present in your area, then compare carefully with high quality pictures of the known species, top side and underside along with known sizes!
Try Nezara Genus as well as Palomena Genus and there may be others also.
