Description:

This attractive moth had a wing sapn of about 25 m. Wings were mostly red with black patches in the outer half. The thorax also had a small black patch.

Habitat:

Spotted under bright lights along a highway.

Notes:

Caterpillars of this moth are said to feed on lichens and moss. Also called
Lithosia rubrata. <br>
Family: Arctiidae <br>
Subfamily: Lithosiinae
