Description:

These bats were on the trunks of a small grove of tambuti (Spirostachys africanus) trees, high up in the trees.

Habitat:

Savanna/woodland

Notes:

Observed at the Siphiso Campsite, Mlawula Nature Reserve

There were at least three or four of them, in the same tree or adjacent trees. How do you distinguish the juvenile from the adults?
Excellent addition to the mission, Kate! Pictures 3 & 4 show a juvenile, so probably you've spotted a mother with its young.
