Field Notes

Description:

Graphis scripta or possibly Graphis lucifica? Lirellate apothecia with one "crease" down the middle of the lirellae. I did not have a UV light on me, but if I had, I could have used it to determine species. If it glows yellow, it’s Graphis lucifica

Habitat:

Fallen branch (probably oak) in a suburban neighborhood the day after Hurricane Irma hit.

Super cool lichen. Kind of makes me think of mitosis.
