Field Notes

Description:

Typically yellow in colour, it eats fungal spores, bacteria, and other microbes. Like slime molds in general, it is sensitive to light; in particular, light can repel the slime mold and be a factor in triggering spore growth.

Habitat:

rainforest, 1500m

Notes:

I spotted this in the Bvumba mountains.
