Field Notes

Description:

Crickets are usually brown or black in colorization, and have 2 long antennae. They have bodies that are very similar to grasshoppers.

Habitat:

Crickets can be found in areas with luscious grass fields and plenty of places to hide. They mostly live in fields, meadows, forest, and grasslands.

Notes:

Crickets are known for their loud chirping that can be heard in the night. This chirping is cause by the insect’s legs rubbing against its body. This chirping is used for calling out to other crickets.
