Field Notes

Description:

Very long antennae. Bold reddish brown stripe with white stripe on outside of it extending length of entire insect. Pale blue colored eyes. Small brown spots noted on appendages.

Habitat:

Found in a man-made ditch next to a field that is mowed biannually on an unknown plant.

Notes:

I suspect this is a katydid nymph.
