Field Notes

Description:

Attached to substrate by a "neck"-like structure. Bulging middle and a tiny stub or tail. White. Looks like something has already emerged.

Habitat:

There was a sort of apiary in the middle of the lawn at the resort in Borong, Sikkim. The apiary was placed on a platform that rested on a pole-like support. This structure was attached to the support...I had to bend down to snap it but it was not at ground level. It was clearly above the grass.
