Description:

Dragonfly's wings are marked with bands of black, white, and transparent at the tips.

Habitat:

Shore of lake at Oak Mountain State Park, Pelham, Alabama

Notes:

These are called "snake doctors" in the southeastern United States. According to folklore, they stitch together the wounds of injured snakes.
