Field Notes

Description:

About 22mm long; narrow, dark longicorn with fine setae over dark coffee-coloured, pitted elytra; two small pale yellow bars halfway down wingcases; classic thickened femurs and long antennae

Habitat:

Checking out a late model Holden in a used car yard at night under strong lights.

Notes:

Cerambycinae.
Atlas of Living Australia has 'punctatus' - others have 'punctata'
About 65 species of Phoracantha native to Australia.
