Description:

We've had a flock of these at our feeder (black oil sunflower) for a week now. It is so weird to hear them when we live a little ways from any body of water. The males shoulders seem to have mostly yellow but then they are not in a display posture. Thought the females were large sparrows at first.

Beautiful first spotting! Welcome to Project Noah! At first, this does appear to be Agelaius tricolor, though that species is only found in the Pacific Coast states, rarely straying elsewhere.
