Notes:

The male is the colorful one n the first picture and the female is the browner one in the second picture.
They are ground nesters and the third picture shows a nest with 2 eggs.
The 4th picture is an immature male.

Thanks for all the comments! I know spring is here when the towhee's are in the yard and singing their "Drink your tea" song. The only down side is when the male fights with his image in my car mirror and leaves a mess all over my mirror and door:-)
Really nice series ! You have captured the red eye of the male so wonderfully. I get these birds here in SE Ohio but I have never been able to find a nest, so bravo ! It won't be long now until I start hearing their "Drink-Your-Tea" song.
