Field Notes
Description:
We have many of these little guys up at the cabin. I'm sorry about the low quality of the shot -- I"m mostly posting it because it is the first species of bird that I identified myself -- one of the only reasons I enjoy photographing birds. I have picked up a bit of new glass this winter, and I'm hoping to get more shots of these colourful little birds this summer.
Habitat:
They seem to be thriving on the North side of our small lake where there are a few mature trees and a lot of small 'brush' like witch-hazel and immature spruce and maple etc.
