Description:

Asset Type: (Pinus ponderosa)
Common Name: Ponderosa pine
Location: Olds College Botanical Garden (Pinetum)
Diagnosis: There appears to be webbing and browning in places of the tree. It resembles budworms webs possibility budworm defoliation but can't confirm it.
Recommendations: Prune branches. If it turns out to be budworms then spray it with insecticide

Habitat:

Native to the western United States and southwestern Canada (Alberta).
