Description:

It reaches up to 18 inches. It is distinguished for it's bluish-green feathers, reddish neck, white stripes in the chest, long beak and yellowish-green legs.

Habitat:

The Green Heron resides year round in Puerto Rico. It nests from northern USA to Uruguay and the Antilles. It is frequently seen in ponds, lagoons canal, patios and gardens.
