Description:

Decked out in a striped blazer and tennis shoes this leaf beetle was caught attempting to enter the local primary school late at night. It was probably looking for it's boater hat. 14mm long.

Habitat:

Usually living on eucalyptus leaves but in this case it was exploring the wall of the local primary school near strong lights.

Yay! Aren't they cute with their extra eyes and eyebrows. I've seen very few leaf beetles this season, certainly very few of the more uncommon species such as this one. This is a very clear shot.
