Short-tailed Chinchilla

Let me tell you about the the cutest, but saddest little rodent you'll ever meet. The chinchilla. Now listed as critically endangered due to severe population loss from farming of their fur. Chinchillas are popular pets but require a lot of care and attention. Seizures, the inability to sweat in their heavy fur, and several other problems plague chinchillas. This one is kept at the Tulsa Zoo.
