Description:

The ball python is a nonvenomous python species found in Africa. This is the smallest of the African pythons and is popular in the pet trade, largely due to its typically docile temperament. No subspecies are currently recognized

This is someone's escaped pet and needs to be captured and taken back into captivity. They are a harmless and usually non-aggressive snake.
It's a ball python (Python regius). If you found it in your backyard then I think it's a pet, maybe it has escaped or was dumped by its owner.
