Description:

Red cap, white gills and stalk; dry to touch

Habitat:

On path into wooded area; plucked it because we walk dogs staying at our vet clinic along there

Nice finding Kate,it's a russula species,wich one is dificult to say,only with microscopic photos of the spores is possible to id Russulas with 100% sure.congrats and thanks for sharing
