Field Notes

Description:

White with faint striations. Two small black dots.

Habitat:

Shyamkhola is an area which is a vanishing biodiversity haven; a part of Kolkata city. A gentleman, now in his nineties or thereabouts has a house here that is home to fantails, civets, snakes and what have you. Because of nesting birds and the fear of snakes he allowed us an escorted visit (his wife...a frail, elderly lady) only where there were clear paths. This moth was on a garden plant.

Notes:

This area is under threat of development into a posh residential area.
