Description:
It has three tails on its hind wings and reportedly can waggle these to confuse the predator, which likely mistakes the hind end for the head with antennae. Apparently that is why it was called Monkey puzzle because no one could make head or tail of the affair!
Habitat:
In a garden... actually a sort of overgrown wilderness; a biodiversity haven and part of the land around the house of an avian expert, now in his nineties. We had to promise to keep on the bricked part only as there were ground nesting birds and snakes in the areas running wild. This area is called Shyamkhola and is a popular birding spot
