Nice specimen. Looks like the genus name has changed.
G. > L. Tr. Asthenini: [cf] Macrohastina - G. Ennominae: [cf] Pingasa sp.
Awesome capture DrNamgyalT.Sherpa, just beautiful, congrats and thanks for sharing
Thanks Sukanya. Pl check our - yours and my two 'Corymica sp.' under 'Organisms'. One of mine even has a pair of swimming goggle-like transluscent spots at the base of its fore-wings. But, this one doesn't match with them on many respects. Pl help me to narrow down the ID. Thanks.
http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/1879396006 Please take another look. I saw this moth in Kolakham (north) West Bengal too..in March this year.
Thanks Sukanya for the compliment. The ref says the page doesn't exist. Could you help me?
I know they look like that...I saw a similar moth: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/187... But it is not as spectacularly coloured as yours...and of course, your shots (as always) way better than mine. :)
Thanks AlbertKang, Sukanya and Daniele for making it favourite.
Thanks Sukanya. I didn't straighten its wings, it's resting like that!
