I am guessing Great Blue heron and he was smaller and had fancier feathers than the grey herons I have seen B4

Hi, Could you please edit the spotting with the correct name so it will not remain on the unidentified list. If you need help just let me know.
I'd agree with you that this is a blue heron. Grey herons are native to Eurasia and Africa so would be unlikely visitors to North America. I found several references to grey herons in NA, but none of these references gave specifics as to the sighting. I'd go with an ID of a Great Blue Heron. Nice photos!
