Description:

This sparrow-sized bird has the typical short-tailed, large-headed kingfisher profile; it has blue upperparts, orange underparts and a long bill.

Habitat:

3000 m in the Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary in the foothills of the Nilgiris mountain range, Tamil Nadu.

Hi Pamsai, unfortunately this is not a Blue-eared Kingfisher as it has a reddish/brown ear. The Blue-eared Kingfisher looks like this: http://orientalbirdimages.org/birdimages.php?action=birdspecies&Bird_ID=404 There are 20 images on this link to choose from.
