Description:
Orangish colour. Dorsal and ventral sides look totally different. When wings are open there is a prominent white dot on each wing.
Habitat:
Rajarhaat area which is a suburb of Kolkata ...an area under development. There still are patches of weedy vegetation, waterbodies, tall grass and reeds ...for how much longer is the question.
Notes:
This butterfly is common...I see it near my home too.
