Field Notes

Description:

Life can be tough. This tiny barkfly isn't more than 5 mm long, but it carries 2 mites attached to its body, and another parasite in a wing. Mites usually leave their host/victim when they are satisfied, thus causing not long term damages to them. But such heavy attack can weaken the host, even causing its death.
