Eastern Grey Kangaroo joey

Australian marsupial, grey grizzled fur, lighter on underside, dark tipped tail, face, ears, hind legs and forelimbs, strong hind legs for hopping/bounding movement, large eyes and ears. Young (joeys) are carried in the front pouch of the females until about 9 months of age when they emerge fully. Within that time they periodically emerge from the pouch for extended amounts of time. Joeys feed on mother's milk and nibble grasses until about 12 months of age (depends on individuals) after which they rely only on grasses and herbs. This is joey from earlier spottings, now spending more time out of the pouch and with great strong movement after much practice.
