Description:
Cricket. Colourful. Never seen one like this before.
Habitat:
Just where the really urban area ends, yet within the postal code of the city of Kolkata there are lots of waterbodies of different sized (all shrinking now ). This large freshwater jheel (lake) with water hyacinths is in an area called Shyamkhola; a biodiversity haven.
Notes:
It was small and inconspicuous...the details only became clear on screen.
