Field Notes

Description:

Short stalked, overlapping clumps of orangey brown mushrooms with spores (same color) under cap; slightly sticky (it just rained); some caps have a green-brown cast; stalks are thin and see photos for one I could see--grayish-green?

Habitat:

Lawn near ditch; suburban neighborhood with wooded lots and pond nearby

Species ID Suggestions

Comments (1)

By the size of these mushrooms and the porous underside, I would say that these are either Suillus sp.(more likely) or Boletellus sp.
