Description:

I found this shelf fungus deep in the woods. It measures about six inches wide, about eight inches long, and the mound was about four inches high. It had a pale orange or coral color with white edges.

Habitat:

This fungus was in a very shady area of Farmdale Recreation Area near East Peoria, IL. It was growing on a fallen tree just about a foot off the trail.
