Field Notes

Description:

Perches conspicuously on tips of twigs in true pennant fashion. Looks like a Slaty Skimmer with a black spot in each wing and white stigmas. This is a male.

Habitat:

This one was observed at a diversion canal at Phinizy Swamp Nature Park near Augusta (Richmond County), GA.
