Field Notes

Description:

I discovered this tree in the SAS rainforest that has brown semi circles that go up the tree like stepping stairs that are about 1 1/2 feet apart from each other. The width is about 7 inches, and the length is about 1 foot. The top of the tree is cut off and the tree has some white fungus on it going down to the roots.

Habitat:

I found this in the SAS rainforest, which is super dry right now due to no rain and it is also super humid. I found this tree around many other trees and plants.
