Field Notes

Description:

All black diving duck with an orange/yellow knob on bill. Found mostly either with Scaup or Surf Scoter.

Habitat:

Found in the coastal waters and bays.

Notes:

Bird was with flock of Surf Scoters. Bird was at a distance so I couldn't crop down any more. The Black Scoter is the one on the left and the other two are female Surf Scoter.
